Grammy picks by Tom Graham

The 56th annual Grammy Awards air this Sunday night, Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS. LL Cool J returns as host of the ceremonies which features performances from Jay-Z and Beyonce, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (receivers of this year’s Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award), Katy Perry, Lorde,Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons, Robin Thicke, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder and Metallica.
Here are a few of my sure-to-possibly-maybe-win picks.

Album of the Year nominees:
The Blessed Unrest — Sara Bareilles
Random Access Memories — Daft Punk
good kid, m.A.A.d city — Kendrick Lamar
The Heist — Macklemore & Ryan Leiws
Red — Taylor Swift
Who’s going to be the big winner?: Random Access Memories — Daft Punk.

Song of the Year nominees:
“Just Give Me A Reason” — Pink
“Locked Out Of Heaven” — Bruno Mars
“Roar” — Katy Perry
“Royals” — Lorde
“Same Love” — Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Mary Lambert
Who’s going to be the big winner?: Tough one. “Royals” — Lorde, but I wouldn’t be shocked if “Same Love” snags the win.

Best Rock Album nominees:

The Next Day — David Bowie
Mechanical Bull — Kings of Leon
Celebration Day — Led Zeppelin
…Like Clockwork — Queens of the Stone Age
Psychedelic Pill — Neil Young With Crazy Horse
Who’s going to be the big winner?: This is a compete toss-up. Bowie? Sabbath? I’ll get behind Queens of the Stone Age just because it would be nice to see.
